  • How safe is white water rafting in Kolad?

    Like any other adventure sport, rafting comes with its share of thrills and bumps, however you are in safe hands. These guides have over 12 years of experience in the Kundalika river alone and are all technically trained in rafting and rescue operations. Our rafting company has a completely clean record with no accidents or mishaps since the last decade that we have been in the Kundalika River. We provide you with state-of-the-art equipment such as Helmets, Life Jackets & Paddles. This equipment is of best quality. Furthermore, a safety kayak is always in the waters on every rafting trip to ensure that every raft navigates the most challenging rapids safely.

  • When is the best time for white water rafting at Kolad?

    Rafting in Kolad is fun throughout the year since it is a dam-controlled river. However, you can really feel the rush during the monsoon season.

  • How is your rafting company different from others in Kolad?

  • Is there an age limit for rafting?

    Rafting is allowed only for 14 years and above. Also, if you’re pregnant, have any back pain, asthma or heart conditions, you cannot raft.

  • How long is the rafting stretch?

    Kundalika River offers a 12 km rafting stretch with Grade II and Grade III rapids. This takes you about 2 and a half hours on the river.

  • I don’t know how to swim. Can I still go rafting in the Kundalika river?

    Yes definitely. Most rafting trips have more non-swimmers than swimmers. You are taught the technical aspects of paddling in the river and following the guides commands. Your life jacket and helmet take care of the rest.

  • How many slots are there for rafting?

    River rafting at Kolad is dependent on water released from Bhira Dam. This happens at a scheduled time only in the morning. So, there is only one slot for rafting in the day. Reporting time is at 8:30 am.

  • Do I need to carry something special?

    Not at all. All your safety gear will be provided to you by us. If you want, you may carry your own camera. Just make sure its waterproof!

  • Are there overnight stay options?

    We offer both day packages and overnight stay packages at Kolad. There are a variety of accommodation places and options between tents, cottages and home stays. Relax during the evening and night and raft during the day for a completely refreshing adventure.

  • Is there white water rafting in Kolad every day?

    Yes rafting in the Kundalika river happens every day, unless due to some technical reasons, the Dam does not release water or is closed for maintenance. In this case, you receive a full rafting refund.

  • How do we get back from the rafting end point?

    Your vehicle will remain at our rafting start point (Saje village), at the end point there are auto-rickshaws available at Rs.100/- per person to drop you back at our start point where your vehicle is parked. Alternatively, if you have a chauffeur driven vehicle our guide will direct him to pick you from the end point.
